I used to ask myself...

and other people often: "If I'm really talented, how come my artworks in dA don't have much views, favorites, comments and features compared to other artists?"
And that's actually really silly of me having to ask that.  

Because now I can say that even though I've improved, my previous works had more attention than my new ones, maybe because I was active back then, or because of how long it's been here. But I see my improvement over the months, and years and I guess that's enough for me to believe how good I am now. I'll still keep on practicing and learning new things of course ffffflol. I'm not really the best, nor better than most artists, hell why should I even compare? Different styles, techniques and influences and such. Competing or comparing yourself here with other people's kinda pointless, it'd be better if you'd aim to be better than your previous self each day. If you truly want to be better, critic your own work or have others to critic it and learn to take it even though it may feel like a hard slap on your face.

The number of pageviews, views, comments, and favorites on your art doesn't always define how skillful you are. Some people aren't that active or exposed and some don't really care.  I started caring less because I've lost my love for this site a long time ago. But I'll still upload whatever decent artwork there is that I could share because maybe a few people still enjoy looking at it.
